Knots You Need to Know!
Description

Whether you are working in the back yard, on a boat, packing a truck, or climbing a mountain, putting rope to work with knots is essential to making your day run smoothly. Join Max Smith as he guides you through creating knots and how to use them correctly to secure things, to pull objects, to build, and even to decorate. Beginners welcome!
After taking this short class, students will be able to identify different types of rope, and how to handle and use them in a correct application. You will also be able to tie a variety of knots that have a variety of applications on land and sea using the correct type of rope. Effective knots are easy to tie and easy to untie.
This is a skills-based class with a small takeaway decorative item (e.g. a braided coaster) that you can make as a “how to” guide when you get home.
