Parent-Child Sailing Class 2026 (Ages 7 & 8)
Description

The Parent-Child Sailing class is for parents (or grandparents, caretakers, relatives) and their children ages five to eight. The class comprises four 3-hour sessions (12 hours total), and aims to introduce children to the basics of sailing in a nurturing environment so that each student develops as a sailor while making new friends and having new experiences. The course is designed for one parent (or grandparent, etc.) to sail with one child. No prior sailing experience is necessary!
The program is led by US Sailing Certified Instructors who help participants learn the basics of sailing.
Spaces are limited, so be sure to sign up early. There will be a morning session for younger children, ages 5 & 6, and an afternoon session for older children, ages 7 & 8. Please choose a minimum of ONE session at checkout. Classes are held rain or shine each day they are scheduled. We sail in light rain, but if thunderstorms threaten we stay ashore and do other activities.
