Maiden Community Tours
Description
Maiden, the first all-female team to participate in the Whitbread Round the World Race, is visiting Kingston N.Y. on her world-wide tour. Learn more about the history of this amazing ocean-racing yacht at Maiden Factor. Maiden and her crew will be at the Hudson River Maritime Museum docks, and the general public is invited to visit the ocean-racing yacht on the afternoons of June 9th and 10th. Visitors will also meet the crew of Apollonia, learn about carbon-neutral sail freight, and tour the vessel Apollonia. See below for details.

Tours take place outside, rain or shine, bring a rain jacket!

Visitors will be walking on docks and boarding boats tied up to the docks, so please wear rubber-soled sneakers or shoes (not open-toed sandals).

Community Members will meet the crews of the vessels Maiden and Apollonia and tour the boats at the dock.
This program is free and open to the public, but donations are encouraged. This registration includes museum admission.
Six-person tours will depart every 15 minutes. Expect to spend an hour touring the boats and learning from the crews on the docks. Pre-register to reserve your time.
