Wooden Sailboat Restoration Hands-On Seminar 1
Description
Date: Saturday, June 10, 2023, 9:00AM-5:00PM
Instructor: Wayne Ford
Class Size: 6
Registration Deadline: June 1
In this one day class, Boatright Wayne Ford will lead participants in the re-fastening of our 1950’s racing sloop, the Rascal. The rascal was trucked all the way across the country where it was built. The history of this boat is unknown but man it is a beautiful boat. It looks fast just sitting on the hard. The galvanized screws will be replaced with copper rivets, which will entail extracting the old hardware, plugging the holes with cedar bungs and epoxy. Be a part of this exciting movement to get the Rascal out on the water once again. Following the class, we hope to enlist a crew of folks who have been trained through this one day class to continue the work so we can all enjoy sailing on it soon!
