This talk will cover the thriving era in Kingston and Hudson Valley history and their intrinsic relationship with New York City's development. Featuring 950 photographs, topics explored include Glass, Tanning & Barrels, Mountain Houses, Hudson River School Painters, Delaware & Hudson Canal, Bluestone, Brick, Cement, Ice Harvesting, and Kingston Point Park.
Stephen Blauweiss produces work on a wide variety of subjects, from art, education and history to social and environmental issues. With a deep knowledge of history and the arts, including painting, architecture and music, he also produces theatrical events and museum-quality exhibitions on local history, architecture, and the arts in addition to short films about regional artists, including the Woodstock arts colonies.
