Basket Weaving with Invasive Plants
Description
Join us for this one-day workshop that starts with a walk around the neighborhood of the museum to identify invasive plant species. Katie will also talk about how she prepares plant fibers for basketmaking, then guide the class in making a medium-sized functional basket. Beginners are welcome for this introduction to weaving techniques that you can use with any fiber types.
