Window Repair Clinic
Description
This class is an introduction to traditional sash windows, including history, terminology, technology, operation, and refurbishing. You will learn how to troubleshoot troublesome windows, and make them work smoothly again. Other topics covered will include improving energy efficiency through the use of sash locks, tensioning hardware, weatherstripping, and properly fitted storm windows.
There will be a hands-on portion of the class to teach basic glass repair and glazing skills. Older windows tend to be better made than many new models and, with a few techniques for fixing them in your tool belt, you can help insulate and beautify your house.
